    Hi - I get the thread exception not handled error permanently and cannot boot into Windows at all. It has occurred periodically and the last time a system restore fixed it but not now.  I have removed all hardware except keyboard and mouse. I have tried every available option in the Troubleshooting menu Startup repair, every startup settings option. It will not boot into any safe mode and although I have 3 system restores, none of them enable a boot into windows.  I can, however, boot to a command prompt and have tried  chk and sfc options as well as some spurious fixes suggested by various 'repair' videos and blogs. I have repair media on a USB and have booted from that and tried that repair but it still eventually ends up at the thread exception error. Any ideas?

    Dear AnkurGupta7,what exactly is the model of your radeon R5? If you don't know how to check:

    Right-click on the Start Menu and access the Device Manager;

    Click on video adapters and click on the arrow beside>;

    Please enter the name of the video adapter that appears in the list;

    Now there is another configuration that will help you:

    Go to the search bar next to the Start Menu and type: msconfig and hit Enter;

    Click the System Startup tab;

    Click on "Advanced Options";

    Check "Number of processors" and change to the maximum value, click on Ok and then on Apply;

    Restart the pc;

    Note: The maximum memory configuration is not necessary to change;

    Check the behavior;

    See you soon!
