Microsoft doesn't have any DVD for 8.1 or 10.

You have ot make your own DVD or USB.

Thank You For Your Information On Windows 8 !! But As Senior I Don't Feel  Very Confidant  On Doing That.

I Would Much Rather The Disc ,As I have Used An Installation  DVD  A Few Times Before With Windows XP

     Cheers Red Robin

I can give you a link to the Windows 8.1 download; but you still have to BUY 8.1, as it does not come for free.

And Microsoft no longer sells it.

"Create installation media for Windows 8.1"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

    "Download Windows 8.1"

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8

A similar Tutorial which may also assist you

"Create Installation Media for Windows 8.1"

    http://winsupersite.com/windows-8/create-installation-media-windows-81

In the first screen of this very simple wizard, you need to choose the following:

Language. English – en-us if you're in the United States.

Edition. Windows 8.1 (Core), Windows 8.1 N, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows 8.1 Pro N, or Windows 8.1 Single Language.

    Architecture. 64-bit (x64 ) or 32-bit (x86).

It depends on the hardware requirements of later operating systems and also whether the computer/laptop manufacturer supports and supplies drivers for the later operating systems as to whether it is possible or feasible to upgrade or not.

Support for 8 ended in Jan, 2016.

Extended Support for 8.1 ends in 2023.

But first check if your computer manufacturer supports and supplies 8.1 drivers for your exact model number:

    Also:

    "Windows 8.1 system requirements"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/system-requirements

Processor. 1 gigahertz (GHz)* or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2

    1. RAM. 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
    2. **Hard disk space.**16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
    3. **Graphics card.**Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver And those Microsoft system requirements in my opinion are simply not adequate. Processor at least 2GHz RAM 4GB for 32bit and 8GB for 64bit Hard Drive space 500GBs. Windows 8/8.1 does not come for free; you have to buy it Microsoft no longer sells 8/8.1. Try amazon.com, etc. Warning: You do not buy a Product Key by itself, as they are normally stolen/pirated, Volume Licenses which are not for private use, or MSDN keys which are not to be sold by the original subscription holder. Make sure that you buy the complete sealed package (DVD, license) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/howtotell/Shop.aspx Read Section: Beware of Product Keys sold separately. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Windows 8.1 & Windows 8 Upgrade Paths https://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-8-1-upgrade-paths @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

You may or may not still get 10 for free, but you first have to see if 10 is compatible with your device.

The free upgrade to Windows 10 offer from Microsoft expired on the 29th July, 2016.

You will have to contact MS support and they may be able to assist you with a free upgrade to 10..

    Windows 10 supported upgrade paths:

✔ = Full upgrade is supported including personal data, settings, and applications.
D = Edition downgrade; personal data is maintained, applications and settings are removed.

First thing to do is to make sure that you have the correct system requirements and that your Computer Manufacturer supplies the correct Drivers for 10 for your Model Number.

    "Windows 10 System Requirements"

    https://www.thurrott.com/windows/windows-10/3884/windows-10-system-requirements

If you read those Microsoft's system requirements for 10, you will find that if you only go on them you will be sadly disappointed in performance.

You should at least double what they say.
