How do I change the text color in Windows 10. Currently it is puke blue; I'd like to get back to BLACK text

I can se from the Registry Editor that the default Win color is black. But no matter what I do, it shows up as a washed gray instead of a deep black. It's on every PC and monitor that I've tried. 

Yes, I know it's my eyes. Win XP used to have settings for fine tuning default font color. I'm really surprised (and disappointed) that I can't get the same control on my laptop and office PC.

The blue text on white background is dreadful. Text color is such a basic thing. I am protoanomalous (one of the two common forms of red-green color weakness). I can see from other complaints that blue text is painful to read for many people. For me it might be worse because of less red signal in the white for less overall contrast. I am changing from Apple to Microsoft because Apple kowtows in a really bad way. I will not be able to continue this path for my family with blue text that cannot be changed to something normal like black.

Hi. Did you manage to change the text colour to Black. I hate this blue ! If so, how did you do it please.

All of my problems began after you did an overnight update to my Dell desktop.  I lost my entire theme scheme, & have wasted 2 hours trying to restore it.  Black numbers on a black background in my calculator!
