Repair Using DISM in Windows PE

I cannot boot my windows. Already tried automatic startup repair and resetting the PC which both failed. I have a flash drive containing windows 10. so how do I restore it? Restoring corrupt OS in windows 7 and xp was way more simpler than the newer OS. tsk!

    Dear EdmundUba,

I am sorry that the above methods didn't solve the issue.

OEM or RETAIL product keys for Windows can be used to activate on the same physical system over and over, (leave the windows key field empty during the installation process) once the Windows installation is complete it will retrieve your key from the bios and it will just work.

If you want to format your computer OS, kindly follow the instruction above using a Bootable USB stick but this time install a new Windows instead of repairing.

    Please keep me updated

    Dear EdmundUba,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Have you tried to start your computer with Safe Mode? check the link below:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sta...

If you are able to start your computer with Safe Mode, you can delete or remove any software or update which may cause this issue.

Also, you can repair it using a bootable USB stick by following the below instruction:

1- Insert the USB flash drive and restart your computer.

2-If you see a message asking you to “Press any key to boot from DVD,” do so. If you don’t see the message, you might need to change the boot order in your computer's BIOS settings so that it first starts from the DVD or USB.

3-When you see the Install Windows page, click Repair your computer to start the Windows Recovery Environment.

4-In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup repair.

After this complete the repair and see if you are able to boot in to your computer.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks for the tip about the format. I was worried that I was about to lose the OEM windows 10 keys. Thanks again :D

I already tried that and it didn't work. I would like to format it, but how do I do it by using the same windows 10 keys?
