Games For Windows Lives

I have purchased Fallout 3 from Bethesda net when I try to launch the game it says xlive.dll file not found. looking up this issue I see that videos from up to just a year ago were saying Games For Windows Live is how to fix it Bethesda themselves say Games for windows live is how to fix (though the link provided doesn't do anything) . if Games for windows live is no longer available to download how am I meant to play Fallout 3? bar buying the game of the Microsoft store I've already bought the game once I shouldn't have to buy it again

Games for Windows Live is discontinued and can't be downloaded anymore. If you want to play games on your Windows 10 PC, I recommend finding the game you want to play in the Microsoft Store and install it. Xbox Live is integrated with the Microsoft Store, and while playing a game, you can hit the WinKey + G combo to activate the Game Bar. In many ways, the MS Store with Xbox Live is like the old Games for Windows Live, but better.

Wow! Wonderful support Micro$oft, just bought FO3 GOTY from Steam also, and nothing I tried works!

P.S. Debian 10 stays on my laptop, I can play games from Steam on that too!
