Bluetooth Keyboard Won't Reconnect After Being Removed

Hello,

My bluetooth Keyboard (Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard or something like that) suddenly started performing different actions to what the buttons were meant to do earlier today. F3, instead of turning the volume down, performed the same action as pressing Control+F. Seemingly nothing would fix this, so I removed the device from my Bluetooth devices list to see if I could somehow reset it by doing so. However, when I try to re-pair it with my computer, it does not show up anywhere. The keyboard has batteries, the light on the keyboard for Bluetooth pairing is flashing, everything seems to be working fine, but it just won't show up anywhere, and I can't figure out what's wrong. Why is it not showing up? I've tried updating my drivers, troubleshooting, restarting my computer, turning Bluetooth on and off again, but nothing is working. Please help.

I got it working! Despite removing batteries and removing drivers the result was stupidly simple…

… the keyboard was reconnecting on channel 2! 🤦‍♂️

When you try to reconnect the keyboard cycle the three channels [I’m away at the moment but I think it’s Start and F1?]… as soon as I toggled channel 2 I got the prompt to enter the 6-digit code. This worked for my keyboard at home and work!

Change channel with Fn + F1

You should see the illuminated LED change on F1 key each time it changes.

Hi, i had the same issue, it´s posible that all of your channels are full, try this it worked for me:

Choose one channel, then press Fn+F1 for about 5 to 7 seconds until the light starts flashing in the same channel (This is to reset the channel not to change the channel) and if the bluetooth in your device is on it will appear the message to connect the keyboard.

    Regards

    Caleb

Was just about to say that. I had to use Fn as well.
