Comfast USB Bluetooth and WiFi adapter stopped working after updating drivers and fixing Task manager disk 100% issue

The USB adapter in question is Comfast CF-732B, little blue usb thing. I had plugged it onto the blue ports at the back of my PC and got it working on the first try.

My PC has windows 10, haven't bought it and I don't plan on doing so.

I followed thistutorial to the second step where I downloaded this driver updating program and ran it. At some point during the installation my wifi connection snapped and it hasn't come back

The issue:

There are no WiFi settings available, just like before I got my adapter. Bluetooth works, which is confusing, because that means the adapter is somewhat working.

I don't know how to find the device in the device control settings. There are so many similar things and nothing sounds right.

I tried downloading the drivers from the official site and installing them, but I am not sure if I did it correctly.

Is it possible, that my PC recognizes the adapter as bluetooth only, forgetting that it is a two-in-one device?

What I want is for my wifi to work again. Thank you

I tried clicking on both of the options behind the "update drivers" button, but neither did much. I don't even know which one of these my little usb bit is :/

I understand. What I suggest doing now is sign in safe mode with network capabilities.

To do so, please follow the following tutorial.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sta...

Once you were able to sign in safe mode, confirm me if you have Internet access. If you do, I may suggest downloading the Malwarebytes in order to check if your system is clean of any malware.

    Hi!

My name is Federico. I'm an Independent Advisor, I'll be glad to help you today.

I am very sorry about your inconvenience. Before starting, did you try changing the USB port in order to revise if the adapter starts working again? Did stop working after installing this program? if so, it may be a scam that is blocking the usage of the Wifi.

First of all, we will try to find out if we can reinstall the driver from the Device Manager.

To do so, could you send me a screenshot of the Network adapter section, please?

    Best regards,

    Federico
