Antivirus program detected a virus in Microsoft Remote Desktop

Hello,

In my last virus scan my antivirus program presumably detected a high risk item and deleted it.

The item name goes like this;

"C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.RemoteDesktop_10.2.1810..........(and it goes on)"

AV program identifies it as "Heur.Generic."

Was that a false alarm or can this file be infected with such a virus? Or was that file even related to Microsoft Remote Desktop at all?

Best regards,

    Hi,

    I'm Pedro A, Independent Advisor and will help you

    HEUR: Trojan.Script.Iframer is a malicious Trojan that can inject malicious code into the pages it targets. The Trojan is able to secretly infiltrate the system and download other malware, which can generate annoying popup ads and cause various serious security issues on your system.

    It is extremely advisable to use a good antivirus tool and antimalware to eliminate the virus and also to detect any other possible vulnerability in your system.

    If u have more doubts i will be happy to help you.

    Hello Pedro,

    Thank you very much for your answer.

    Infected file was already deleted (or "resolved" as my antivirus program puts it)

    Today i made a second virus scan and found no threat. At this point i don't know what else i can do or what a good antivirus tool would be other than what i am currently using.

    I guess i can only make more frequent scans.

    Best regards,
