Sound, video and game controllers driver disappeared after 20H2 update

Hi,

My Sound, video and game controllers  and Audio inputs and outputs drivers completely disappeared after 20H2 update! So now I can't play any sound.

I have an Asus Vivobook 15, the update was installed a few days ago first, the same thing happened then. I tried various things but nothing worked so I rolled the system back to its previous state. But yesterday it installed 20H2 again and now I don;t have sound again.

My sound driver was up to date, I made sure of that after I rolled the system back. So it's not that.

No idea what's going on what I need my audio and sound devices back.

-Right click the Speakers/ Headset and click Enable.

-Right-click it again and select Set as Default Device.

    Hi Carlo,

    Thank you for the link.

I downloaded the driver and installed it, restarted my laptop and nothing changed, I'm afraid.

Still no Sound, video and game controllers and Audio inputs and outputs drivers in Device Manager.

    Many thanks,

    Orsh

    Hi Carlo,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Troubleshooting was never able to identify the issue, but I ran it again, same results, I'm afraid.

Both my Sound, video and game controllers and Audio inputs and outputs drivers have disappeared since the update (please see screenshots) so I can't do anything in Device Manager.

As a result of that I have no options in the Playback tab in Sound in Control Panel.

    Many thanks,

    Hi Carlo,

I did the Repair Upgrade, it didn't solve the issue.

I tried rolling the system back but now that doesn't work either!

Not really sure what else I can try. Great update!

    Thanks,

    Orsh
