So the title is basically my problem. The left alt key and the windows key are swapped. I have no idea how this came to be and I really do not know how to fix this. Any help would be great.

Edit: I tried using the on-screen keyboard and the functions are still the same. They haven't been changed

    Hi Eliandre,

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this.

The solution may depend on your keyboard, try each of the following keyboard shortcuts one at a time to see if that switches those keys back:

    Fn + A

    Fn + S

Fn + Space Bar for 3 seconds

If none of those work for you:

    Open Device Manager

    Expand the Keyboards section

Right click your keyboard and choose 'Uninstall'

Then restart (not shut down) your PC

Happened to me! I figured it out. If your keyboard is anything like mine where there is a "Windows/Android" & "iOS/Mac" switch, check if the switch is on "Windows" mode. Hope that helps.

    (I have the Keychron K2).

Thank you so much for your solution! I also have a Keychron and all the other answers weren't helping with my issue. Turns out it was a simple switch flick between "Windows/Android" and "IOS/Mac".

Thank you so much!!! I had bumped the switch on my K4 without noticing.

For other people, there's also this Reddit thread: press BOTH Ctrl + Win at the same time and see if that works. https://www.reddit.com/r/AnnePro/comments/5rzevp/left_alt_and_windows_key_switched_how_do_i_switch/
