Hi All,

I'm facing no thumbnail preview problem for PDF Files since very long time, a screen shot is enclosed with this post. I have tried Adobe Reader Enable Preview Option, Disk Cleanup for Thumbnail option, Reinstalled the Windows, Folder Option Display file icon on thumbnails and tried CMD sfc /scannow option, but the given options are not given fruitful result. Other file formats (like JPEG & PNG) are showing perfectly, the only problem is with PDF Thumbnails.

    Hi Raghu_RDY,

I'm Rodrigo, Independent Advisor and I will help you.

I was facing this same problem and this fixed the issue for me:

On the Start Menu, type Disk Cleanup and press enter > Select your C: Drive > Check only Thumbnails and press OK , when prompted, select delete files.

This process with clear the thumbnail cache resetting the thumbnail images

    Hi Raghu_RDY,

    Please try these steps

    1. Go to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Scroll down and click on the "Choose default apps by file type" link
    2. Locate the .pdf format
    3. Select it then set Adobe Acrobat Reader as default app

Since we've exhausted almost every solution and If it still doesn't work, you can use a freeware tool like PDF Preview to enable thumbnail previews

Hi Raghu_RDY, I am Paulo, an Independent Advisor willing to help.

Based on the icons of your PDF, it looks like you still have an older version of the reader app installed. Try to uninstall the app first then install the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader through this link. Just uncheck the optional offers

    https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Once done, try to enable preview handlers
