Windows 10 Pro VS windows 10 Pro workstation

Hello,

I sometimes experience device bugs or freeze when using windows 10 Pro when I load the PC.

I bought a new PC (gaming), but I would like never to experience these slow and errors again.

When I check online for the difference between these two operating systems, I only understand the benefit of the windows 10 workstation, but my question is:

can windows 10 Pro for workstations enhance the performance of the gaming PC, or it will not as long as the PC is not a workstation?

PC features:

  • CPU ryzen 5
  • GPU RTX 3060 (1pcs currently)
  • RAM 2X16G DDR4 2400
  • Motherboard X570 prime

Thanks.

Majdi.

Thank you for the reply. Pro for workstations is only for extensive tasks. From Wikipedia, if you have the following hardware it is beneficial only then.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_editions

Intel Xeon, AMD Opteron, and the latest AMD Epyc processors; up to four CPUs; up to 6 TB RAM; the ReFS file system; Non-Volatile Dual In-line Memory Module (NVDIMM); and remote direct memory access (RDMA).

So my advice would be to go for Windows 10 Pro.

    Hi Majdi,
I am Sumit, an Independent Advisor here to assist you.

No, Windows 10 Pro for workstations would not help in gaming performance. Have you installed KB5003690 that improves gaming performance?

    Thank you Sumit,

I am not sure about KB5003690, but I always keep updating the windows with important and optional updates.

Actually, the aim of using the PC is for graphic 3D designs for example (blender) rather than gaming.

I was thinking that Windows 10 Pro for windows workstations could tolerate the PC loading and increase the smoothness and the speed of the windows.

I would proceed to buy Windows 10 Pro license if it is the best for my PC and the aim of usage?

    Many thanks.
