I have an Acer Aspire VX laptop and a Corsair HS35 headset that refuse to work together The audio will play through the headset just fine but I cannot get the microphone to work. When plugged into the 3.5mm port on my laptop I do not see the headset show up in the drop down menu under sound settings so I cannot select it to see it's properties. I have already tried the following with no luck:
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at the point of wanting to smash this thing out of frustration. Thanks

Ludwig,
No, I cannot get Realtek HD audio manager to even run. I have tried uninstalling it, running it as admin, running it in compatibility mode and re-downloading different versions of it but none work.

Hello Sam9115,
I'm independent advisor,
Can you open the realtek hd audio manager in control panel and choose earphones with microphone option instead of headset if available ?
Best regards
