Hello.

I'm talking about these 2 icons, and no matter what I do they just won't go away.

They are not showing up here nor at desktop in explorer.

Let's see whether it is a NameSpace item...

    (1) Type RegEdit into Search, & click "Run as Administrator".

    (2) Copy/paste the following into its address bar...

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

    (3) Right-click NameSpace in the left pane, & select "Export".

Call it, say, "NameSpace", & save it, say, to the Desktop. Close RegEdit.

    (4) Right-click NameSpace on the Desktop, & select "Edit".

    (5) Use Ctrl-A & Ctrl-C to copy its content, then post it to us.

We will look for something weird in yours & delete it. Here is mine...

    Good Day Asian,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

What are the options when you right click using your mouse in those icons?

Here's the steps you can try.

-Right click on the Task Bar

    -Go to Task Manager

    -Look for Windows Explorer

-Right click on it and hit Restart

If issue persists, click on the icons and press Shift + Delete on your keyboard.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

    Dear Asian,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

1-This appears to be a glitch, with a few virtual instances of Removable Drives and sometimes Quick Access.

If you right-click on the Desktop and click Refresh, it should disappear.

2-Run CMD as Administrator and type this command and hit enter:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The process should take about 10-20 minutes to complete and should correct any faulty registry files.

Since it is possible that the Removable Storage Devices folder is connected to incorrectly configured system settings or broken entries in the Windows registry, this scan should fix the problem.

And also, unpin the printer icon from start.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.

    (1) Do they show up in any of these folders...?...

    C:\Users<YourUserName>\Desktop

    C:\Users<YourUserName>\OneDrive\Desktop

    C:\Users\Public\Public Desktop

    (2) What are their full file name there?

    (3) Can you right-click & delete them in the folder?

    (4) Can you right-click & select Properties? If so, show a picture of the General & Details tabs.
