Had to purchase new monitor (S2421HS) for my Dell Computer. Everything works fine except no sound. Probably a simple fix but with no set up instructions don't know where or how to turn on the sound.

Thank you for updating me with that information. Based on the link in my previous reply. The monitor has an Audio line-out port which states that you need to have an external speaker connected to that particular audio port in order to have sound. Connecting a headset to that port is not supported.

Here is the description of this monitor on Dell's website. It does not show that the monitor has built-in speakers.

Have a Dell Optiplex 3080 computer. It had E2420H monitor originally. Do not see any speakers on it. Believe the sound was coming from the computer (?) Not very computer savvy so I could be wrong. The audio display icon shows the new monitor model # S2421HS and the volume setting - just no sound.
