Hello,

I bought a ASUS UX425JA & the windows was activated by Windows 10 Home (as it consist a key with this hardware).

I tried to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, but it failed for some reasons. Now, in the settings page, it shows Windows 10 Home but the product key got saved is another one other than the one it actually had ! It now shows a big sign to Activate Windows where the Windows 10 Home came with this ZenBook.

Now, when I looked for 25 digit code on the laptop box, I can't find it. There is a 13 Digit Microsoft Product Key ID. Can anyone tell me where I can find My 25 Digit Activation Code ??

    Hello,

I solve the issue from Microsoft Support although it was a easy-peasy thing.

    1. Open Command Prompt.
    2. In command prompt window, type this command and press Enter: *
    • wmic path softwarelicensingservice get /all /format:list | findstr OA3
    1. Your Windows product key will be displayed on the screen.

Anyone else can try, so I posted as a reply.

Was the purchase to Pro successful?

    Run the activation troubleshooter:

This tool should show you the key.
