A little bit late to the discussion, but hope this helps. I had the exact same issue a couple weeks ago. I was plugged into an external USB hub. I moved a couple things around and got the mouse directly into my Cyberpowerpc tower. Have not had an issue since.
Windows 10 and cyberpowerpc optical gaming mouse
Problem: Mouse pointer freezes for 1 to 3 seconds and I get beeps in my headphones. If I move my pointer quickly I can get a msg that a new device has been detected and my virus program will scan it, but I can't figure out what the new device is? The driver for this mouse does not work, as cyberpowerpc mouse says 'No mouse found". How can I stop the mouse pointer from freezing and stop the beeps in my headphones?
Thanks

2021-03-17T14:29:45+00:00 This is not the first time I have used this mouse. It has been working fine for a couple of months now. This is a wired mouse, and I have tried several USB ports with the same results. Yesterday, it permanently froze. It is an optical gaming mouse I got with my Cyberpowerpc Desktop. Right now I am using a Microsoft wireless mouse from my laptop and it works fine. I didn't think a hard wired mouse would die because it is powered by the desktop. I checked my drivers as requested above, and the driver for my display adapter is up to date. I tried to download the driver from the manufacturing website and they do download, but when the display of the mouse comes up, it says "no mouse found". Any other suggestions? I am going to return the mouse to Best Buy and buy a better hard wired mouse if this can't be fixed.

2021-03-17T08:59:33+00:00 Hi,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.
I understand that mouse pointer freezes on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.
However, please let us know:
- Is this the first time you are using this mouse on your computer?
- What is the make and model of the computer?
- Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
- Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
I would suggest you try updating the graphics driver and see if that helps. To do this refer the steps mentioned below to update display drivers:
- Press Windows logo key + X, and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right click on the display driver and select Update Drivers.
- Restart the computer if prompted.
Article for reference: Update drivers in Windows 10.
You may also want to try downloading the drivers from the manufacturer’s website and update them.
Let us know how it goes.
