Wifi is very slow on windows laptop, but fast in mobile phone or tablet.

I am getting following download speeds from same server;

Apple Tablet = 3MB / sec

Android phone = 3MB / sec

Windows 10 Laptop with network cable plugged to modem = 3MB / sec

Windows 10 Laptop with builtin ( intel) wifi connection= 200KB / sec, then drops to 0

Windows 10 Laptop with USB adapter wifi connection= 200KB / sec, then drops to 0

What could couse this ? Can someone please help.

    Good Day UtkuDemir,

    My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

    I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

    Here's the steps you can try.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

    -Click Troubleshooter then Additional troubleshooter.

    -Look for Internet Connection and run the troubleshooter.

    Once done proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Network Adapters

    -Look for Wireless driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

    -Look for "Browse my computer for driver

    -Let me pick drivers available drivers

    -Choose an old driver and use it.

    Reset Network Settings

    Open Settings.

    Click on Network & Internet.

    Click on Status.

    Under the "Change your network settings" section, click the Network reset option.

    Click the Reset now button.

    Click the Yes button.

    -Click Start, type CMD and run as administrator

    -Copy and paste each of the command below and hit enter.

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh advfirewall reset

    netsh winsock reset

    ipconfig / flushdns

    ipconfig / release

    ipconfig / renew

    Once you entered those commands restart your computer using cleanboot.

    1. Open the run box by pressing the Windows Key + R and type msconfig
    2. System Configuration Utility box will open and by default you are on general tab.
    3. On the General tab, click the selective startup and make sure that load system service and load startup items both have checked mark.
    4. Click on services tab
    5. Put a check mark on Hide All Microsoft Services
    6. Once Hide all Microsoft Services have checked mark on it, click on Disable All
    7. Click on the Startup Tab and click open task manager. This will open another window which contains all your startup applications on the administrator account.
    8. Disable all application that you're not using. You can simply just click on them and select disable.
    9. Click OK, Apply and close the configuration utility
    10. Restart your pc and observe the internet speed.

    If issue persist, let's download the updated driver from the manufacturers website.

    What is the exact model of your computer?

    To check the system model proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + R

    -Type msinfo32 and hit enter.

    -Look for the System Model and post it here.

    Dear Carlo,

    Thanks for your reply. 

    I did step by step as you instructed. Problem persists.

    Something is limiting my download speed. 

    I noticed some strange issue;

    I can watch 8k video on youtube !

    speedtest.net gives me about 50 Mbps dl speed !

    BUT, I can download a game from steam or a driver from nvidia server with ONLY 300KB / sec !!!

    This only happens when I connect wifi, no problem with LAN cable connection. No problem with ipad wifi connection.

    Finally , my System Model is, ASUS GL753VE

    No, that also did not work.

    I can transfer files from this pc to another via wireless home network, with high speeds( about 2 mega byte per sec ). But download speed does not raise more than 300kilobytes.

    Please proceed with these steps.

    -Click Start, type CMD and run as administrator

    -Copy and paste the command below and hit enter.

    netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable

    Once done proceed with these steps.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Network Adapters

    -Look for Wireless driver that was installed

    -Right click and Uninstall.

    Once uninstalled, go to this link below and download the driver.

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/GL7...

    Use the Lan connection temporarily to download the driver.

    Once downloaded and installed, restart your computer and check.
