Windows 10 update last night i can no longer playback audio through my audio interface. It doesn;t show the interface as a choice for output. The interface does show as an input so it does see it. Interface is Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. The drivers are current.

    Hi,

I'm afraid it didn't help. I spent a lot of time with Focusrite support and they couldn't resolve it either but they DO support Windows 10. I temporarily fixed my problem by doing a system restore to a week ago before this weeks Windiws update. It worked for the rest of the day and now today, back to problems. However I noticed Windows detected that there's an update so it's back to that. Seems there's a compatibility issue with the latest Win update and the Focusrite driver.

If you can think of anything else please let me know.

    Thanks.

    Jeff

Thanks for your repsonse but I've already unistalled last nights Win update and it didn't fix it. I also confirmed with Focusrite they still support Win 10 for my device.

    Hi!

My name is Federico. I'm an Independent Advisor, I'll be glad to help you today.

I am very sorry for your inconvenience. After doing some research at Focusrite's website, I found out that the interface is no longer supported by them in Windows 20H2. I quote what Focusrite says: " Scarlett Plugin Suite is still very likely to work with Windows 10 2004 however it's no longer in our test procedure. The last fully tested version of Windows 10 for Scarlett Plugin Suite was version 1809"

    Source: https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles...

Bearing in mind I suggest going back to the previous version of Windows if the 10 days haven't passed from the moment that you have updated the system to 20H2.

To do so please do the following:

Open the start menu> click on settings> update & security> recover> go back to the previous version of windows 10.

I hope this helps solve your inquiry. Do not hesitate to get back to us if you need further assistance. I am more than happy to help

    Best regards,

    Federico
