    Hi Connie,

Okay, you have no choice then, press and hold the Power Button on your PC for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down.

Wait a few seconds and start your PC, if the disk checking starts again, press any key to cancel that and see if Windows 10 will start correctly.

    Hello Dave,

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. I have no idea which stage is processing. The screen is displaying the logo "Lenovo" and "Scanning and repairing drive (C:): 100% complete".
    2. It start automatically when I power on PC this morning. The scanning run from 0 to 100% in few minutes but stuck on 100% for 6 hours.
    3. The light is on but not blinking

    Hi Connie,

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this.

    1

Scanning and repairing your drive usually has 5 stages, is there any indication what stage that process is at?

It is usually okay to stop that process in stages 4 and 5, but not 1, 2 or 3.

    2

Did you manually start that disk checking or did that start automatically when you started your PC?

    3

Look at the hard drive light on the case of your PC, is there a lot of hard drive activity, or is there little or no hard drive activity?
