Is there a way to fix the streaks on my screen?

I have tried uninstalling the graphics driver and letting it reinstall, I just updated my computer today (It has been doing this for around a month), I have tried clean reboots and turning back to older updates but nothing has fixed this problem. It started in early May when I updated my computer and after updating, it had all these streaks coming off of all words, textboxes, icons, everything. Is there a way to fix this and if there is, how? If it helps, this has happened before and was fixed after a windows update, perhaps a year ago.

    Hi Forgetmeforlater,

Good day! This is Jhakesong an Independent Advisor and I will be happy to assist you with this.

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience. Is this a desktop computer or a laptop? Kindly check this setting and see if this makes a difference:

    1. Press windows key + S, search for blur
    2. Open "Fix apps that are blurry"
    3. Make sure the toggle for "Let Windows try to fix apps so they are not blurry"

Check for the streaks in safe mode:

    1. Once you are at the Windows 10 sign-in screen, hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and not let it go. While holding down the Shift key, click on the Power button (Windows 10 Power Button) and then click on Restart.
    2. When Windows 10 restarts, you will be at the Choose an Option screen. Click Troubleshoot
    3. From Troubleshoot screen, click Advanced Options, then click Startup Settings
    4. On the Startup Settings option and you will now be presented with the Startup Settings screen. Click the Restart button
    5. Windows will now begin to start, but you will be presented with a screen that provides various options you can select to specify how Windows should be started.
    6. Press F4 to start Safe Mode.

Let me know how it goes. Have a great day!

    Hi Forgetmeforlater,

Thanks for getting back. It could be a monitor issue. Let's make one more test before we make a conclusion. Try to boot into BIOS and check if the same issue exists. If it does, it's definitely a monitor problem. Might also be that the connector from computer's tower to the monitor came loose. Try to reconnect it.

If it doesn't exist in BIOS, we can try to do a repair upgrade of windows and see if it makes a difference.

    Here's how:

I use a desktop computer, and I did both things as you instructed. Unfortunately, they did not help, as there was still streaks in safe mode. I took some screenshots in safe mode.

Perhaps it is something wrong with the monitor? As I said though, it has happened before and was resolved by an update.
