Hello,

I have a DELL Inspiron 5570. All of a sudden, it's integrated webcam has stopped working. It shows 0xA00F4244<NoCamerasAreAttached> error code. I checked device manager to update the webcam drivers, but camera is also not showing up in Device Manager.

Please guide me how to sort out this issue. I also checked the site of DELL. There's no solution for this problem.

Thans & regards,

I see. I'm sorry if those steps didn't help. I couldn't also find your camera driver from the said support site but please try to download and install your BIOS update (Dell Inspiron 5570 and 5770 System BIOS) from the Dell support link that I mentioned above and see if it helps. Also, try to check in the BIOS if your camera is disabled or there should be a diagnostic test for your camera in the BIOS, run that test, if any.

    To enter BIOS:

    • Turn off your computer
    • Turn it on again and as long as you see the manufacturer's logo, press the keys Esc, F2, Del multiple times until your computer boots to BIOS.

Thank you Benedict for promptly replying to my query.

I'm, however, sorry to tell you that neither of the 3 solutions you suggested has worked.

I also checked with Dell, but there's no driver for Webcam for Inspiron 5570 - Windows 10. In fact, I found on one of the Dell site that in Windows 10, it's Microsoft that provides the driver for the webcam, and not Dell. Even after updating Windows, it's not working.

I would really appreciate if you could share the link to download and install the internal webcam driver so that the issue could be sorted out.

    Awaiting your reply.

    Thanks & regards,

    ~ Hemang

Hi, I'm Benedict, an Independent Advisor. I'm here to help you.

Please try doing a System Restore, to revert your system settings back to a point prior to system updates or changes that have caused the said issue: https://support.microsoft.com/windows/use-syste...

If that doesn't help, try to check if the camera driver is disabled in Device Manager:

    • Press Windows logo + X simultaneously in your keyboard or Right-click on Start.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • Click on View tab, if the option "Show hidden devices" is not checked, then click on it.
    • If the said driver appears under Cameras, right-click on it and select Enable device.

If that doesn't still help, then click the link below and try to download the camera driver and also search for firmware/BIOS update. Download and install them, if any.

    Please see if that helps.

    Regards,
