Installing Microsoft Works 8.5 on Windows 10
When I try to install Microsoft Works 8.5 using a Disk I get an error message saying 'The Windows Update: Internet Explorer and Internet Tools cannot be installed on this computer. This product does not install on 64-bit platforms'.

Microsoft Works 9 does work on Windows 10 64bit & can be downloaded from my own MediaFire account:

You will either have to burn the .iso to a DVD or mount it to run setup.

2021-05-19T18:23:32+00:00 Microsoft Works 8.5 (which was released 16 years ago, in 2005) required at least Internet Explorer 6, which was 16-bit software, and 16-bit-compatible software doesn't install on a 64-bit system, which is why you're seeing that message.
