Hello Vivianne5,

Thank you for updating me with that information. I apologize that this did not resolve the issue.

Please try the additional methods below.

**Press Start then search Device Manager

Expand the Sound, video and game controllers

Find the Realtek Audio driver

Right click it and select Update

Click "Browse my computer for driver software"

Select "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

Make sure to put a check mark "Show compatible hardware"

Select an older driver from the list

Click Next then Restart your computer

If this does not work, please try the method below.

Press Start then search Device Manager

Expand the Sound, video and game controllers

Find the Realtek Audio driver

Right click it and select Uninstall device

After that, download and install the latest driver for your device using the link below.

    Hello John and thank you!

I've tried all of the things in the article, but nothing happened.

Whenever I try to set the volume up on "Master volume" it won't allow me. It stays on 0.

When troubleshooting, Windows can't detect my Realtek(R) Audio device. I believe this problem occurred after my latest software update. I think it's a driver problem. I had a lot of driver problems in the past (previously with the microphone). When auto-searching for driver updates, it says I have the latest one for audio.
