    Dear Om_2002,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

While it happened, did you see the desktop? or it was totally white like a faulty screen? is it possible to send an image of it?

Meanwhile, to troubleshoot this kind of issues, kindly do the steps below:

To check that the problem caused by hardware or software, connect the laptop to an External Monitor with VGA or HDMI while it is on a white screen.

-If the External Monitor displays a screen fine, it means there is a hardware issue with the screen.

    • It is best to take it to a maintenance shop or return it to the store if its warranty still applicable.

-If the External Monitor displays the white screen as well, it means there is a software issue with the computer.

+When the laptop is on ideal mode, try to update the graphics card driver from the Device Manager or download its driver from the manufacturer's website.

+Run the computer in Safe Mode and check if the issue still persists or not:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sta...

+Scan your computer for viruses and malware if any.

+When the laptop is on ideal mode, run CMD as adimistrator and type this command then press enter:

    sfc/scannow

It may takes a while, once finish, restart your laptop and check if the issue still persists or not.

+If you are sure it happens after the windows upgrade, use system restore:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/rec...

+Disconnect any peripherals connected through USB

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.

    Dear Om_2002,

    Thanks for updating me.

Since you have no HDMI cable to test, try to follow the software troubleshooting methods which are provided above. Hopefully they fix your issue. If not, take it to a maintenance shop to check the hardware issue

    Please keep me posted.
