Dear all,

Good afternoon.

How can I update my existing WDDM 1.3 to WDDM 2.0?

I am working with a system with following specifications.

Windows  10 Pro 21H1 OS Build 19043.1081

Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3471 CPU @ 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz

RAM 4.00 GB (3.89 GB usable)

64 bit operating system, x64-based processor

I have asked for a 16.00 GB RAM for replacement.

Thanks for the expert advice of any members or support team. I would like to switch over to Windows 11 as soon as available.

Best regards,

Ahamed

    Hi AHAMED

What do you intend to purchase, is that just a new processor or a full new PC?

    Hi Ahamed,

Thank you for that information, I am sorry, you will not be able to update your WDDM version from 1.3 to 2.0, because you have the older version of Intel HD graphics on the Intel core i5-3471

Also, your processor is a 3rd gen i5 and currently Microsoft indicates they will only support 8th gen processors upwards on Windows 11.

    Dear Dave,

Thank you for your kind reply.

So, my system as per details shown below is totally unfit for the coming great Windows 11? No way to upgrade it?

Situation is bad due to Covid-19 pandemic and buying a brand new CPU is not viable.

    Please check and advise.

    Hi Ahamed,

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this, I need to see the graphics option(s) you have on your system.

Click your Start Button, then just type dxdiag and press Enter.

Select the Display tab in the resulting DirectX utility

Please post a screenshot of that Display tab.
