Since 1st day my laptop always showed every 5GHz network available & it couldn't connect to my home network but it connected easily with my phone's hotspot. Just yesterday evening for the first time my laptop got connected to my 5GHz home network so I was surprised and it was working very well but now today evening again it is showing the same problem - it can't connect to this network.

    Hi Dhruv Nath ,

try to change the wi-fi network driver by following this procedure:

    1. Go to Device Manager> Network Adapters, right click on your network adapter> Update Driver.
    2. Select "Search my computer for drivers"
    3. Select "Choose from a list of drivers available on your computer"
    4. Windows will propose 2 or more compatible drivers for the network adapter in use, select a driver other than the one currently in use> Next. The driver will be installed automatically. Restart the PC.

Otherwise, download the latest driver version available from the pc manufacturer's website.

Go to Settings> Network and Internet> Wi-Fi, click on Manage known networks on the side, select all the network profiles present and then click on Cancel storage. Try to connect again by correctly resetting the wi-fi password.

What is the exact model of your wi-fi adapter? I repeat the question again: What is your Firewall / Antivirus in use?

If you don't answer my questions, I'll leave this thread.

I've tried restarting my router multiple times before posting this question here but no it didn't work, and as I said earlier reinstalling the driver is also not solving the problem!

I just have performed a network reset same as you've mentioned above, unfortunately, even that is not solving the problem!

I guess I've to keep using my 2.4 GHz network.

    Hi,

Try to turn off the router and turn it back on after a few minutes, or try to reset the network: Settings> Network and Internet> Status, click on the side on Network Reset, follow the instructions.

If that doesn't fix, go to your laptop manufacturer's website, download and reinstall the latest driver version available for your wi-fi adapter model.

What is your Firewall / Antivirus in use?
