Yes, that is the correct model.
Unfortunately the ports are still not working 😭
Also I see no 3.0 Root Hub:

Hello!
Recently I bought a newly second-hand Dell laptop. Everything was fine until I tried to plug in my mouse and keyboard through the USB 3.0 ports. I tried to connect my phone to them and it was charging so I suppose it's not a hardware issue but a software one. I'm not sure what to do. I saw some tips on the internet about turning them on in the BIOS settings but I'm sure they are on if the phone is charging. Surprisingly the 2.0 ones work aswell as the thunderbolt one.
I tried various methods but they don't seem to work. This Dell model it's actually pretty old (10 years) and it doesn't have windows 10 support, is this the cause? Just because the OS isn't fully compatible with the laptop, it denies some crucial features?
I also tried to download all the missing drivers myself so I installed some third-party driver updaters which showed me a lot of outdated and missing drivers. I used Driverpack so I could install them all at once but it seemed shady so I stopped.
I'm thinking that reinstalling the windows would be faster than updating all the drivers and installing the missing ones, though I'm not sure if this is going to work since, as I said, my laptop isn't completely compatible with the laptop.
Thank you in advance for helping! ^^

Hi, I'm David, an Independent Advisor, here to help you.
For clarification only, it's not like the OS is denying crucial features.
The drivers are developed by the hardware manufacturers, in your case, Dell. When a new version of Windows is released. When I say, version is Windows 7, 8.1, 10. In some cases, there may be compatibility issues with a particular driver. Microsoft, with Windows 10, worked hard to prevent this from happening, but it is impossible to prevent it from happening to all the thousands of devices that exist. And when an incompatibility occurs, the responsibility of fix this rests with the hardware manufacturer.
Dell has a policy that after 5 years, it no longer supports the hardware of equipment. This is what happened with this device. So he doesn't have the drivers for Windows 10. But I've seen a lot of Dell equipment running normally with a Windows 7 or 8.1 driver.
For USB 3.0 to work correctly. Usually, the USB 3.0 drivers and the Chipset driver must be functioning correctly. Have you checked the Chipset driver?
Also, check the Device Manager and see if you have any devices displaying an alert.
Reinstalling Windows may still make it necessary to install some drivers manually. Not all Dell drivers are installed automatically after a reinstall. But a Windows reset can end a potential conflict if that is the problem.
Feel free to ask back any questions.
It's fine I guess.
I'll give up.
Now I have a new problem which is my new battery. With the laptop there came a new battery for it. I had the old one in that didnt last at all so I put the new one in my laptop. It shows that the battery is 100% fully charged, but when I unplug, it closes.
Any ideas?
Hello! Thank you for aswering!
How do I check my drivers? Especially the Chipset ones as you say.
Also, is it safe to use a third party program to download missing and/or outdated drivers? And if yes, can you help me find a safe one?
Also in Device Manager there are no yellow triagles with exclamation marks :)
