Hello, After the latest Windows 10 update, some new problems have appeared. When you create a new folder in the desktop, the folder does not appear. The same happens to all other new files you create: excel, word, text file, etc.

How to solve this problem?

Hi, I just noticed there is an even bigger problem now: You try to restart the computer and it just hangs in at restart for hours and hours and never restarts at all.

I think there might be some serious issues with those windows 10 updates

Hi, Windows finally updated but the original problem is the same: When you create a new folder on the desktop, the folder does not appear. The same happens to all other new files or delete them. You need to manually refresh folders in order to see any changes.

Perhaps you have some fresh ideas regarding this problem?

    Dear Korentas,

I am sorry that the above method didn't solve your issue. Please try the additional methods below:

    1-Disconnect all peripherals,

2- Run Command prompt as administrator and type this command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    Press Enter

Open the elevated command prompt again and type this command:

    sfc /scannow

Press Enter and wait for a while.

When the scan process completes, try to update Windows.

If the methods above do not solve the update issue, kindly check out more troubleshooting methods in the link below:

    Dear Korentas,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

It looks like some updates on the device is missing and would need to download them manually, you need to perform an in-place upgrade. No worries, this does not affect applications and files stored on your device.

Please follow these steps, choose the correct option for step number 2:

    1. Access this link:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-downlo...

    1. Select the Download tool and click Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    2. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    3. On the "What do you want to do?" page, select Upgrade this PC now then select Next.
    4. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.
