Hi, I'm Benedict, an Independent Advisor. I'm here to help you.
That process is a legitimate Windows process and its file location is also true, but if it uses high resources or percentage of your network and other resources then it could be a malware that is disguising as a Windows process like what you have mentioned. Please try these possible fixes for Windows Search issue:
1 - Run the Search and Indexing Troubleshooter in Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, or to locate this:
- Open Start Menu.
- Type and search for "Troubleshoot settings". Open it.
- In the right pane, if you can't see the said troubleshooter or no recommended troubleshooter is listed, click on Additional troubleshooters.
- Now, look for the said troubleshooter and click it.
- Click on "Run the troubleshooter"
2 - Perform a System Restore, to revert your system settings back to a point prior to system updates or changes that have caused the said issue: https://support.microsoft.com/windows/use-syste...
3 - Check if there are pending updates to install in the Windows Update settings. If so, please download and install the update(s).
4 - Disable Windows Search or turn off Indexing options in Windows with this guide: https://windowsreport.com/indexing-windows-8/
5 - Scan your PC:
- Run a Microsoft Defender Offline Scan: https://support.microsoft.com/windows/help-prot...
- Run a scan with the free version of MalwareBytes, you can download it here: https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/
Once installed, open it and go to Settings > Security tab > enable all options under "Scan options." After that, close the Settings and click on Scan button to start scanning. Quarantine the detected threats, if any, then restart your computer and run a scan again until no more detected threats.
- Run a quick scan (or full scan if the quick scan didn't help) of Microsoft Safety Scanner that can be downloaded here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/windows/security/thr...
- Use the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool:
For 32-bit x86-based systems: https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx...
For 64-bit x64-based systems: https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx...
6 - Use the System File Checker tool to repair corrupted system files:
