Change available paper in windows

Help me change "available paper" to A4 I've been printing in wrong size for 3 years and I still haven't figured out how to change it. It shows A4 on all other windows devices I have ! What could be the issue ? Is it maybe because my region is set to USA where they use Letter ? I tried changing it to countries which use A4 but it didn't help.

    Hi Safodo

Okay that all seems to be set correctly, but somehow the driver is reading the wrong paper size in that tray, in that paper source drop down, is there another tray you can select from there, regardless of whether there is another tray on the physical printer?

If not, the best option would be to contact HP support because this is a problem with their driver rather than a Windows 10 error . . .

Like I've said I have 4 more windows devices they use the same printer and in this box it says A4 instead of Letter so printer reads paper correctly.

I've reinstalled the driver couple of times now with no new results.

I have it set to A4 in this dialog but it doesn't make any difference

    Hi Safodo

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

This is not a location setting, the 'Available Paper' option is usually what the printer thinks is in the paper tray in the printer, rather than a setting and your printer seems to be reading that incorrectly

You are in the Printer Properties dialog, instead of that, right click your printer and select Printer Preferences

On that dialog, check the available tabs can you set the default to A4 and set whatever paper tray you are using to A4 also?

If not, then re-install the printer drivers and associated software and see if you can set the paper tray to A4 not letter . . .

There is no other tray to select. Other devices have the same driver and it works without issue.

I would try the support but I can't find a way to contact them it's usually a bot or it leads me to manuals
