Hello how are you?
My name is Marcelo C., I am an independent consultant, I am here to help you in the best possible way.
rest assured that the cpu will not melt.
Usually this overuse has to do with background processes to solve this you can check the following points:
Reduce the priority of heavy processes
open task manager (and have sorted the list of processes in descending order of consumption), right click on the program in question and select the option "Go to details".
You will be redirected to another manager tab. Right click again on the process that is causing you problems. In the “Set Priority” menu, select the option “Below normal” or “Low”, according to your need. You should notice the reduction in CPU consumption right away – but keep in mind that this method doesn't work miracles.
Check scheduled tasks
Sometimes, that inexplicable slowdown on your computer can be the fault of some task scheduled to start on its own on a certain day and time, without the user being aware of it. There's no problem with scheduled tasks that run at idle moments on the machine (at night, for example), but they can actually hamper your productivity if they happen right when you need to use your computer.
To work around this problem, open the Control Panel, enter the “System and Security” section, find the “Administrative Tools” field and click on “Schedule tasks”. In the window that opens, you will be able to view all scheduled tasks in the “Task Status” menu. Use the floating menu to see all actions that have taken place in the last seven or 30 days (depending on how long it's been since you've noticed your CPU being overused). Identify possible tasks that might start at inopportune times.
Keep an eye on plugins
Many add-ons available for the main browsers on the market are poorly designed and can indeed cause instability on your machine. These little software can be the culprits if your CPU gets overloaded while you keep a browser open. The main recommendation here is to get rid of unnecessary extensions, but we are well aware that some of them are essential for everyday life (such as banking plugins, which tend to be quite heavy).
Keep your drivers up to date
I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.
Have a nice day and stay safe.
