Accidentally factory reset my PC, how do I go back to previous save of my Windows?

I tried factory resetting my Virtual Machine but it somehow reset my actual PC and now everything is gone.

How do I go back the state my computer was in before the reset? Like how do I get all my files and stuff back or are they all gone?

    Hi Aidan

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

If you have actually reset Windows 10, then that is a one-way operation and there is no way to get your data back, it is not like a system restore

Do you use OneDrive or any other Cloud Service to sync your files, or do you have a backup created somewhere, those would be the best hope to restore your personal files, otherwise, a 3rd party recovery utility, but to be honest, they are very hit and miss, when it comes to recovering data after a reset .. .

All software would need to be completely re-installed after a Windows to Reset . . .

Once you have carried out a factory reset there is no going back.

Recover a backup, if you have one would be the simple way. Re-building your Windows 10 install as you did over time is the only other way.
