How to disable Virus & Threat Protection notifications

I'm using the below settings and yet, I'm receiving the notification also seen below every time a full scan has been completed. Even when no threats were found.

Not sure if it's a bug or something I missed?

I'm on Windows 10 21H1.

    Good Day WebMaximus,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc.

You can visit this link on how to disable the Virus and Threat notification.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Go to Update & Security

    -Windows Security

    • Click "Open Windows Security"

    -Select "Virus & Threat Protection"

-Under Virus & threat protection settings, click the blue link "manage settings"

-Scroll down to Notifications and click the blue link "Change notification settings"

-Make sure all option under Virus & Threat protection notifications are off

I hope the information above helps.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

But I don't want to disable all notifications. I still want to be notified if a threat is found. However, I don't want to be notified of files being skipped where I already chose those files myself. Meaning I'm already aware of the fact they will be skipped.

How can I achieve this and why am I notified files were skipped when I configured the notification settings to only alert me if a threat was found?

    Good Day WebMaximus,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, it appears to be a previous bug.

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/protect/for...

Here's the steps you can try.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Click Windows Powershell Admin

-Copy and paste the command below and hit enter.

    Set-MpPreference –DisableScanningNetworkFiles 0

Once done , close powershell and check for Updates.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

-Check for Updates and install any updates available.

Once the updates are installed, restart your computer and observe if you will still get that notification.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

Thanks but I don't have any network drives. So in my case it's rather the files and folders I've selected to be excluded from scanning.

Also, following the link in your previous post, I read that bug has already been addressed by MS in a fix and I already have all the latest fixes installed.
