CPU at 100% when playing games

I was testing something because my desktop computer kept crashing and I was trying to find the issue. So while running a game I had task manager open and every time I was in the game my cpu percentage was 100. I dont know if this is normal and so I'd like confirmation and help if needed.

    Hi BrainBird

Thank you for that information, you also have a dedicated Nvidia graphics card.

While it is normal for your CPU to be at 100% while playing games, and this is nothing to worry about, you can probably take some of the workload off the processor.

Open the Settings App, go to System - Display

Scroll down and click Graphics Settings

Add the game to the list of apps on that page, then select the game and you can set it to run on the Nvidia card exclusively.

    Hi BrainBird

100% CPU usage is quite normal while playing games.

    Games use more resources.

Open task manager while playing the game.

Click on CPU. There you will find which app is using more CPU.

    Hi Brain Bird,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you have integrated graphics it would be normal for the CPU to be running at 100%, if you have a dedicated graphics card, then that should be doing the bulk of the game processing.

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter

Please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.
