MP4 Editing with Video Editor

I am trimming a lot of videos as an instructor. I want to reset the app that "plays/opens" mp4 files to the video editor that comes with Windows 10.

I cannot find any way to do this. There is no "open with" option on the menu (below). The default apps under Settings will not let me select the video editor and the video editor is not listed in the Microsoft store. I have to open the video editor, go find the video I just created, then add it to the video editor. Is there a different Microsoft approved app I can use that will change this 4 step process to 1?

-Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!

This function is not possible because when opening an MP4 file, the system identifies that you just want to watch and not edit, if you want to edit, for a faster way, fix the Windows 10 Video Editor in your taskbar or in the Start Menu, you will have to open the Video Editor app and then Start the editing project through the app.

But I found your question interesting, if you have any ideas to pass on to the developers, feel free, using the shortcut Windows+F, you can send your comment.

-Feel free to leave your opinion, marking as answered if the answer helped, or leaving more details so that we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

I hope you understand that this function of setting Video Editor as the default MP4 file player of Windows 10 is not possible.

But your Feedback is welcome, you can send your comment to developers using Windows+F.
