Hi, I installed the BIOS update (F25) and after the restart, it wasn't listed in the HID list. I showed the hidden devices and the touchscreen was not listed either.
Touch Screen on HP Envy Sleekbook 4 touchsmart no longer works after Windows update
The HP Envy Touchsmart Sleekbook 4 laptop is a touch screen laptop and worked fine after the upgrade from Win8 to Win10 years ago. However in one of the recent Windows updates the touch screen no longer responds to touch input. I selected "show hidden devices" in Device Manager and it showed touchscreen in the HID section. Clicking on it, it said it needed to be reconnected to the computer and it appeared to be thinking it was a USB device (Location said it was "on USB Input Device". After a lot of online research, I uninstalled the device within Device Manager and rebooted and it did not bring it back. Prior to doing this I checked the registry and there was no entry for TOUCHGATE in hkey_current_user\software\Microsoft\wisp\touch. At this point the screen does not respond to touch input and under the system information it says it's not a Pen or Screen input device, and device manager no longer has an entry for touchscreen so something is not recognizing the fact that it actually is a touch screen. Any help would be really appreciated.

It should look like HP ENVY TouchSmart Sleekbook 4-1100ex
