    Hello!

Yes, you can upgrade (maybe) but first make sure that your PC meets all the Windows 10 requirements:

    Windows 10 system requirements - support.microsoft.com

If your PC doesn't meet all the requirements, do not upgrade.

Step 2: Get your license (Note: Windows Vista license may be used with Windows 10. I have upgraded a PC from Vista to 10 and it got activated, but all the PCs aren't same)

    1. Press Windows+R and type cmd. Press Ctrl+Shift+Enter and click on yes.
    2. In the black window, type wmic path softwarelicensingservice get oa3xoriginalproductkey and press Enter.
    3. This will show you the product key. Write it down somewhere. (Note: Do not share it with anyone)
    4. Then, download and run this tool: Download tool now (microsoft.com)
    5. Run it and choose Upgrade this PC now. (Make sure you backup all your data).

If your PC doesn't meet the requirements or if you face any problem while upgrading, stop the upgrade immediately.

The free upgrade offer to 10 was originally for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 only.

Late in the process Microsoft added Windows 8; but you had to do a clean install of 10 if you had Windows 8.

Vista was never part of the free upgrade offer to 10 from Microsoft.

There is no upgrade path from Vista to 10.

It is done by a clean install.

And Vista was never part of the free offer from Microsoft.

    You have to buy 10.

And if you go on those Microsoft system requirements for 10, you will be sadly disappointed.

    Read what I have to say about that in this reply further down;

First thing to do is to make sure that you have the correct system requirements and that your Computer Manufacturer supplies the correct Drivers for 10 for your Model Number.

If you read those Microsoft's system requirements for 10, you will find that if you only go on them you will be sadly disappointed in performance.

For reasonable performance should have at least:

2 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor.

4 gigabyte (GB) of RAM for 32-bit or 8 GB for 64-bit

    500GB hard drive

DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver
