Disabling WaasMedic Service

Whenever i start up my laptop, it is unusable / irresponsive for at least 15 minutes or so. If i manage to open the task manager in that time span, it's always the WaasMedic service, no exceptions. I've searched on this forum for advice on how do stop / disable that service, but most of it is outdated and doesn't seem to work for me. It's honestly a scam by Microsoft that we can't disable components that only disturb us and deliver nothing in return.

I do not wish to update my device at all, the only thing we get in those updates are bloatware, more intrusive "promotions" for Microsoft products and a further performance drop each. single. update. "Did you try checking for malware and stuff"; Yes, yes i have.

Any advice on how i can permanently disable that program (even advice that may not be the healthiest for the system is welcome)?

Hi, my name is Talita. I'll be glad help you today : )

I'm sorry how frustrating this can be. Really, the suggested solutions would be to disable third-party antivirus and you keep Windows 10 up to date, because with every update there are system improvements and fixes.

However, there are some topics that address this issue. See if these links can help you:

One option is to use some third-party software to disable it, but this is not recommended, as when you change something on the system, other problems may arise in the future.

These options used registry changes, all changes should be made with caution

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
