OK, just keep an eye on your system and I'm sure it will be fine.

Hey. This is just a simple doubt. i just made a geforce account, and i saw what great features it has. and i came across performance tuning. It told me it would overclock the gpu a little to boost performance, and fan speeds. Now, i have a laptop, the HP pavilion gaming 15 intel i5 version. so, my question is : should i do it? cause i have a laptop, and it might heat up. i have read it only does a clock speed inc of 70MHz, to boost about 6 frames or so. but would it heat?? keep in mind that i have learnt how to control the fan speed of my laptop, and i can increase it if i want. So, should I?
Specs -
HP Pavilion 15 - dk0268tx
Intel i5
GTX 1650
Fan Control: Yes, anytime i want to.

Thanks! yeah, even i was thinking that. i guess it wont make much difference, i think ill try it, when i do ill send what happened here. i wont use it much in real life, just because i dont need a 70mhz only boost all time. Just wanted to know, because this could definetely help me sometimes. Thanks!!
I'll tell what happens after i try it. which is gonna be in some time.
Hi, my name is Neil, I'm an independent adviser and a Windows 10 user like you.
I honestly think you'll be fine with that small boost. Whenever you boost clock speed there is always going to be a small increase in heat, but as long as your laptop is well ventilated (not used on a bed duvet say, but placed on a hard surface) then you should be fine.
Plus it's only 70MHz...not 700MHz. It's a very small increase and I think your system will cope with that.
Even though you can control your laptop fan speed, I don't think you'll need to, but you can obviously 'oversee it' so it will give you some confidence and control over the situation.
I hope this helps! Let me know how it goes!
Kindest regards,
Neil
yeah i think so, but it only boosts by 60 MHz or so. it doesnt overclock your computer i think, just tunes it a little more that wont affect the heat much, cause its literally 60 MHz..
I'd like more opinions on this though before i decide about doing or not. Thanks!
you have a laptop so no don't do it you won't have enough cooling for the card that built into the laptop
if your gpu goes then your laptop goes as well be on the safe side
but technically it's up to you to do it
