I recently downloaded a zip file from google drive and later decided to delete it from downloads folder. I removed it from there but to my surprise I couldn't find it in recycle bin. I have checked my recycle bin properties and everything was perfect. What could be the reason ?

    Hi srinivas_021

Storage Sense is very hard to control or to predict, it basically deletes files when it senses low disk space and that includes exe's that you have not used in a while.

It would be best to not use Storage sense and free up space on your drive, because if your drive is that full, then your system is inefficient and you are shortening the lifespan of your drive.

Click the link below to download a small free utility called Treesize.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/treesize-free...

To run TreeSize, you must right click its icon and choose Run as Administrator.

Please provide a screenshot of your C drive in that TreeSize utility, so I can see your hard drive and work out where that space is being used and if there is an underlying problem.

Yesterday I faced another problem with this Mail app in windows 10

( not outlook) so I updated my windows yesterday to 21H1 version from 1909 and I opened the mail app which was saying fix your account I opened it after two years. Then I logged in by clicking "fix the account". Later one of my friend messaged me that I had sent him a mail which I sent two years ago I was freaked out 😂. I immediately changed my password. Probably the mail was stuck in outbox at that time what do you think ?

    Hi srinivas_021

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Where did you delete that zip file from, was that from the downloads folder or another drive?

    2

What size was that zip file, was it very large and possibly exceed the maximum file size for your Recycle Bin

    3

What security software do you use, is that Defender or a 3rd party software and do you use any cleaning utility on your PC?
