Hey, I've had this Xbox wireless adapter for exactly 3 months, and this is the new gen, for some reason it keeps disconnecting over and over when plugged into any USB slot of my PC, this occurs with and without the extension cable, I have tried going through all my Universal Bus Controllers in device manager and unchecking the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" option for each device that had the option, the adapter under network adapters doesn't have the option to, I've tried uninstalling the Xbox wireless adapter drivers and reinstalling, tried the front USB ports, I can plug other devices into the same ports but it just doesn't allow this adapter, I will post a video of what is happening Video link (Plugged it in at around 0:36)

I FIXED IT. After encountering the error 10 code, I uninstalled the driver and then right clicked on "Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows", clicked properties, then went onto the driver tab, update driver, Browse my computer for drives, "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer", then went onto xbox wireless adapter and installed it.

Just did this and still the exact same problem, this is most likely a hardware problem, very unlikely it's my PC as it doesn't do this to any other USB device.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

I saw that you have an Nvidia GPU and have Geforce Experience installed. Try the following procedure:

Press Alt + Z to open the GeForce Experience overlay

Open the settings by clicking on the cogs on the right side

    Open the Broadcast LIVE sub-menu

Disable the feature by using the toggle next to Broadcast

I found this suggestion on the link below. The other two procedures indicated there you have already performed according to your report. Please let me know if the procedure helped you.
