Bluetooth Radio Status keeps turning itself off every 5-10 minutes

Hello,

The Bluetooth Radio on my newly built PC keeps turning off literally every 10 minutes or less at times. It's not an individual accessory issue because two devices stop connecting simultaneously every time.

What do I need to do to fix this problem? Or perhaps, will Microsoft release a patch to fix this issue?

Details:

  1. I test it with the Microsoft Bluetooth diagnostic tool via a separate wired keyboard and every time its solution is to 'Enable Bluetooth.' See image at the bottom
  2. The Action Center menu as well as Settings --> Bluetooth & other devices show my Bluetooth is 'on' and two Bluetooth devices are connected throughout the entire process even though neither are responsive.
  3. A weird way I'm able to get my Bluetooth back is for me to plug in my Logitech Unifying Receiver into a USB port. Neither of my Bluetooth devices are Logitech and for some reason when the receiver is plugged in, the Bluetooth turns back on and both devices start working again for another 5-10 minutes before they both stop. There are no effects on the Bluetooth connection when leaving the receiver plugged in nor unplugging the receiver.
  4. The ONLY way I can keep my Bluetooth connected for longer periods of time is to be actively searching for a Bluetooth device to add. When I keep the "Add Bluetooth or other device" search running, my Bluetooth never drops.
  5. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth drivers multiple times. No change in effects.
  6. Also, I tried swapping out the Bluetooth modules with my laptop. I have both and AX200 as well as an AX210 module. I tried them both and essentially the same issue occurred. Thus, it doesn't seem like it's the module. Plus, they both stay connected fine on my laptop.
  7. Maybe it's the antenna wires or the antennas themselves?! Seems unlikely because of debugging solutions #3 & #4
  8. Maybe it's the motherboard? I don't know enough about the failure modes of the motherboard in order to diagnose and am not an expert PC user. Also, I already checked with the motherboard company and they have not experienced this issue specifically.

Here is my computer assembly:

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X (100-000000063-00)
Video Card: GTX 1080ti,PCIe
Memory: T Force Vulcan Z TLZGD432G3600HC18JDC01

16Gb
HDD: M.2 NVMe SN570,M.2
Motherboard: B550M Steel Legend
Bluetooth Module: Intel AX200 or Intel AX210
Operating System Windows 10 Home, 64-bit

Version - 21H1

Build - 19043.1165

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Have you gone Device Manager, Adapter type, click on the adapter, click on Power Management, and remove the check from "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"?

Thanks for your suggestion. This is an interesting one. I neglected to mention that I did make an attempt to do this directly to the Bluetooth adapter as shown in the image below, and there is no power management tab in the new Windows. In addition, I clicked around on many other Bluetooth items as well as the Human Interface Devices. I unchecked that function wherever I could find it.

I followed this YouTube video in order to find those hidden power management functions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMUdL1-jGP0

In double checking while writing this message, I found that the Bluetooth ones in the Human Interface Devices were back to being checked. I'm confident I unchecked them because I followed the video instructions above.

I tried it again with those power management options unchecked again. The system continues to claim the Bluetooth is turned off and needs to be enabled as mentioned in the original post. No differences in the issue nor the Bluetooth troubleshooter repair.
