I have the same problem. As a photographer, this is extremely problematic. Especially since we use our laptop for same day wedding photo slideshows.

When I open a photo, it shows the correct colors for a split second, then after it finishes loading, the colors are all washed out.

I also have the same problem and I have done everything in terms of drivers and updates. Also the Screen Calibration utility is not helping.

Here is the strange thing, if I open the win 10 display settings, for a fraction of a second the image is ok but then it turns to its washed out condition.

I found what seems to be the solution, at least on my Dell XPS 9510. I went into the Windows color calibration and selected a different color profile. The one I selected was the wRGB.cdmp file. Seemed like most of the profiles produced the same colors except for the 414D which is what was selected by default.

My laptop is an XPS 9510 and I found that if I disable the Intel UHD Graphics in Device Manager it fixes this problem until I reboot. My laptop has a 3050ti GPU so it just uses that instead when the Intel GPU is disabled.

Not a permanent fix but at least it can get you by.

    Hi Kevin,

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this.

    1

The best first option is to go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and re-install the graphics card device driver version they recommend.

    2

Click your Start Button, then just type dccw and press Enter.

That will open the Screen Calibration utility, work through the various settings available on that to try to improve the color on your screen.

    3

Rights click your Desktop and from the resulting menu, open the graphics card control panel and work through any available settings to try to improve the color on your screen.
