PC jumps between wifi repeaters

Hello,

I recently bought a new laptop and I have a problem. I live in an apartment complex where the same wi-fi is extended by a lot of repeaters. For this reason, my laptop keeps jumping between different repeaters and channels. It sometimes connects to the nearest one with a great signal but then connects to a farther one and my internet speed drops. Is there any way for me to lock one channel/repeater?

thank you.

Hello, I'm Jan and I'm happy to help you today. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. Try to check these wifi settings below to prevent wifi from switching automatically.

    1. Left-click the Wifi icon on your taskbar

Left-click the Wifi repeater that you don't want to automatically connect

    uncheck "connect automatically"

    1. Left-click the Wifi icon on your taskbar

then right-click the Wifi repeater that you don't want to automatically connect

    select "properties"

toggle off the "connect automatically when in range"

    1. Or just "forget" remove the Wifi.
