Storing my Passwords.

Hi, so I keep a text doc of all my passwords inside a folder which is somewhat hard to find. Thing is. Is this safe? Because people could access your files or something to see this? If I should not store my text doc with my passwords. What should I do?

    It would be safe only if you have a good security software installed on your computer and have a strong firewall policy or you are aware of using internet that do not open a suspicious links.

    However, I will provide you with some tips to store your passwords safely:

    1-If you have a good memory, the safest place to store your passwords is your mind.

    2-You can write down your passwords on a paper and store the hardcopy of it on your room or office.

    3-You can save your passwords as a note on your mobile phone.

    4-you can store the passwords on a cloud storage like OneDrive

    5-If you have a reliable email address like Hotmail or Outlook, you can send the passwords to yourself.

    6-If you want to keep your password on your computer, put the Word file on Zip file using a Zip tool like WinRAR and set a password for the created zip file.

    7-Refrainf from using a third-party software that used for storing passwords.

    You can also, use FlashDrive to store your password. But do not use this FlashDrive for transferring data between two computers, only store the password and keep it in a safe place.

    Thank you for the tips. I will try to use 6, but how do you set a password for a Zip file, and also. Should I try putting my Password in a FlashDrive, and take it out when I do not need it?
