My W10 computer screen is in dark mode in Google Chrome. The only part that is in light mode is the very top of the Google page. I tried almost everything that I saw on YouTube. Does anybody know how I can have my pages back in light mode, I don't want dark mode. Thank!

Google Chrome Version 92.0.4515.107

Thanks Buddy!! It was the 5th point on the link that you gave me:

    1. Turn off the Dark Mode for Web Contents flag
    2. To turn off Chrome’s Dark Mode for Web Contents flag, input chrome://flags/ in Google Chrome’s URL bar.
    3. Enter dark in the search box on the chrome://flags page.
    4. Select Disabled on the drop-down menu for the Force Dark Mode for Web Contents flagClick the Relaunch button to restart Google Chrome. Thereafter, website pages will no longer have dark backgrounds.

    A million Thank You's

    Hello,

You can refer to below link

The advice on this page is safe and may be effective, but ads on the page are pushing products frequently classified as a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Product) I would recommend that you not download/install any product advertised on that page.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for your help however, the screen is still dark. My google chrome screen at the very top is white, the bottom is dark mode.

Sometimes, when I'm in hotmail, the screen is white, and then its turns to dark mode, everything/ every website, is dark except the very top page.

Firefox, I have no problem, all is white. It started this morning when I woke up, could it be that it was the windows update that made the screen dark?

    Once again, thank you!

    Hi Anthony,

I'm Paul, an Independent Advisor. I hope I can help you with your concern.

Since you said that you have tried several methods I will assume that you have already gone to the Personalization settings.

    Please try this workaround.

    >> Make sure that Chrome is closed.

    >> Right-click the Chrome shortcut and click Properties.

    >> Click Shortcut tab.

    >> add --disable-features=DarkMode after space on the Target box.

It should be like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=DarkMode

    >> click Apply > Continue > OK.

    >> OPen Chrome and see if it is still in dark mode.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
