Is DriverEasy Legit?

DriverEasy is a site that claims to update all your driver for free.

This is a screenshot of 16.8.21. As you can clearly see DriverEasy does tell about all the (Mostly Intel) drivers I need to update

while this Intel site tells me that all of them are up-to-date!

This is crazy!

And this is what makes me wonder if DriverEasy is legit and safe at all.

    Hi #Softcurious,

No one on these forums recommends any of these driver update programs. They cause a lot of problems. Every day we see people on these forums seeking help after using these programs.

Trust the manufacturer's site as far as updates go.

Did you have Driver Easy update some drivers?

If you're concerned about possible stability issues and know which drivers were updated, right click on Start and select Device Manager.

Locate the respective entry for the driver and right click on it and select Properties > Driver tab and click Roll Back Driver.

    Yep 4 drivers.

If they're all Intel drivers, it's quite possible that they are OK.

You can roll them back as I instructed in my previous post.
