How do I determine if my pc is being accessed remotely and if anything is running

How do I start this conversation? I'm going with Concerns and Facts.

I am concerned someone has access to my PC and has had access for quite sometime.

Among several events that bring me to this conclusion. The largest is my home was robbed approximately 3 years ago. They got my laptop an all in one PC that was used for business that had just closed down an a tablet that was later recovered. It was the only thing recovered. We don't believe this was a random burglary.

My PC that I am using now runs super slow. If I run tskmgr many times the different columns will be at 100%

Please Excuse me if the information is lacking. I can provide any information needed.

I am running my PC from my Spectrum WiFi. I recently downloaded their security suite which is running and Windows Defender is running.

Also if I look at App Permissions many times there are 15 or more different users or groups with permissions many with full control.

    Good Day Bagnell

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

First, can you please check what are the services and processes running in your computer in the task manager.

-Click Start, type Task Manager and open it

    -Click Processes Tab

Take a screenshot and post it here.

Also check the Windows version installed in your computer.

    -Press Windows key + R

    -Type winver and hit enter

It will show you the Windows and build version and post it here.

I'll look forward for your response so that I can provide an accurate recommendation.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

    Good Day Bagnell,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, it appears that most of the usage are caused by third-party apps. Proceed to scan your device using the free version of Malwarebytes scanner.

    Here's the link to download.

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thank...

Once downloaded and installed, open the app and perform a scan and check for malware infection.

Once the scan is done , restart your computer using cleanboot.

Restart your computer and observe the performance.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

    Carlo,

Thank you for responding. I took screenshots of the running processes. I believe there were 4 pages of processes running, Make that 6 pages. I am including them as well as the other information you requested. Let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks.
