My laptop is showing driver problems

Hi all

Around January this year, my laptop started giving me problems. I was working, the laptop was switched on but was currently unused. The screen turned off and then on and then it rebooted. on turning on, the screen had full brightness (undimmable screen), no sound, no mic, didn't detect my SD card, no battery icon on the tray, and no Bluetooth. In the device manager, the display adapter was gone, same with sound.

This is all I did trying to fix it, chronologically-

  1. Resetting Windows 10 (twice)
  2. Installing Windows 8.1
  3. Installing Windows 10 again
  4. Resetting it, again
  5. Reinstalling it fresh from DVD
  6. Resetting with "clean the disk" on

yet in vain...

Randomly one day, (before above points 2 and 3) windows gave me driver updates I blindly installed them. Suddenly everything was working! I was super happy. It demanded a restart. I did that. But upon turning it on, everything was like before, nothing working.

I ran the following command, File → Energy Report

powercfg energy

  • I tried finding drivers online but there was none available. tried DriverPackSolution, but it didn't do anything other than installing bloatware.
  • two days ago, I got a driver update from Windows Update regarding Intel chipsets and BT driver. BT works now.
  • But Windows' not giving me any more updates.

Now another peculiar problem has started about three days ago- certain keyboard keys would randomly stop working and then come back to life sometimes.

The name is "DESKTOP-ADCSMF8", it's because I reinstalled windows from DVD. The laptop is manufactured by Micromax and the model is L1160.

Also, an unrelated question- If it has enough memory and an x64-based processor, Then why does it give an error installing 64-bit Windows 10

Hello, I'm independent advisor A&K. I'm glad to be able to help you.

If you have repeated a clean installation of Windows several times but still cannot work, this is undoubtedly a hardware problem. Because Windows will prepare basic drivers when installing, and the brand-new system is unlikely to be damaged, it is impossible for the computer to run normally under normal circumstances.

In order to save your precious time, if your computer is still under warranty, I suggest you apply for warranty service.

I will keep following up until the problem is solved. My English is not good. If you don't understand my words, please let me know.

Then you may try replacing necessary hardware. I don't trust infamous product manufacturers since most of their products contain something faulty. This is the last suggestion which I don't have hope that it will work.

Yes Joe, you are right with DPS

I can't find the drivers on the manufacturer's website

I don't think if any of my hardware is faulty, and I've opened its cover and i think that the connectors are way tiny to fit into my PC

It was a really bad idea to use DriverPack because, even if it downloads really good drivers, it does mischievous things in your PC including tampering with the OEM logo of many of your programs (like WinRAR- I was a victim of this annoying PUP), especially the boot animation of your device. You might need to reinstall specific apps.

Have you downloaded drivers from the official manufacturer site? 3rd-party driver-providing apps are harmful.

I can also recommend to remove the faulty hardwares and test each of them one-by-one.
